The Request Information feature provides a negotiation action used to request additional information about a demand from the opposing party.

Use Request Information as a method of asking the opposing party for information not included in the demand which you deem necessary to proceed. When using this feature, the Action Flag will be moved to the opposing party to ensure the demand will be displayed on their work list.

Click to expand/collapse Issuing a Request for Information

Click Request Info on the action button menu OR select Request Information from the Negotiate drop down menu.

Enter your desired message in the appropriate field specifying what additional information is needed and click Issue Request for Information.

Click Cancel to return to the previous screen.

Note:  this action will put an Action Flag to the opposing party.

Click to expand/collapse Responding to a Request for Information

Incoming requests can be viewed from within the Action Flag popup, within the Activity Log or in the Demand Detail Tab.

When an incoming request is active and you take a specific action (Edit Details, Add Evidence, Send Message), a popup asks if the action satisfies the Request for Information.  The popup will not appear if you add evidence using the AF Client option.

Any action that changes the Action Flag automatically removes the request. For example, a Counter Offer by either party causes the Action Flag to change and thus removes the request.

The request can also be manually cleared from the Action Flag popup.
